Import Fees

Customers outside of the US are responsible for all international import duties or Value Added Tax (VAT) fees their country might charge. These rates vary from country to country, but typically range from 15-25% of the purchase price. We highly recommend researching your country’s import fees to avoid surprise charges and unnecessary delays at the time of delivery.

Please understand that import fees are NOT charged by us, Tuft the World, and are not reflected in the final purchase or shipping amount at checkout. These are additional fees determined by your country to cover the cost of importing international goods.

The most common option for paying duties/VATs:

Most of the shipping options available at checkout don’t include import fees in their cost. Instead, customers will be contacted separately by the carrier, via email or phone, once the parcel arrives in your country and prior to delivery. This is often the most affordable way to cover import fees.

Another option for paying duties/VATs:

Some shipping options might include import fees as part of their total cost, in which case customers pay these fees at checkout. These shipping options clearly state “Duties & Taxes Included” beneath the carrier and service in the Shipping Method menu.
